  • Google Gives OnHub Router Owners a Few More Weeks of Support img Dec 06, 2022 Alison Harvard Google Gives OnHub Router Owners a Few More Weeks of Support Google announced last year that it would be winding down support for its oldest router, the OnHub, by the end of 2022. But recently, Google has pushed out the end date for OnHub support a few weeks, giving owners a little more time before the router ceases to function. Starting January 11, 2023, all but the OnHub's most basic features will no longer be available. The OnHub router will still provide Wi-Fi, but it will no longer be manageable from the Google Home app. This means that users won't be able to change the router's settings going forward. If the OnHub is being used in a mesh network with other Google routers, users will need to remove the OnHub and factory reset their network from the Google Home app in order to continue managing their other routers.  It's recommended that users remove any OnHub routers from their setup sooner rather than later in order to avoid any potential problems down the line. Google has not given any indication of why the end date for OnHub support was pushed out, but it's likely that the company wanted to give users more time to prepare for the transition.
