Mar 29, 2023 Alison Harvard Upgrading from Old Windows Versions: Steam to Officially Stop Support Steam, the popular video game platform, has announced that it will abandon support for current versions of the Windows OS – Windows 7 and 8.1 – starting January 1, 2024. This is because the latest features of Steam rely on the built-in version of Google Chrome, which no longer works on these older versions of Windows. Furthermore, future versions of Steam will require updates to Windows features and security present only on Windows 10 and above. As such, for those still running on older Windows systems, the only thing left to do is upgrade to newer software.
Data from the February survey reveals that Windows 7 holds a market share of 1.52%, while Windows 8.1 has 0.34%. These systems have not been supported by Microsoft since January 10 of this year, and the decision of Valve Software to terminate their support for the old systems is understandable.
The app, which is essentially a browser, works completely differently in the Windows 10 system. It is able to use certain features of Chrome, and as such, it can make use of a much more sophisticated set of features. For instance, the app has virtual reality support and game-streaming, which works much better in the newest version of Windows.
In addition to the features and upgrades, Windows 10 also provides a more secure environment. The newer Windows OS is equipped with features such as Windows Defender and Windows Firewall, which add extra protection to the system against malicious attacks. Furthermore, this OS also has better overall performance and stability, making it much more efficient.
Overall, it’s clear that Steam’s decision to end support for older versions of Windows is justified. These systems are no longer supported by Microsoft, and the latest features in Steam require the built-in version of Google Chrome, which does not work on such systems. As such, for those still running on Windows 7 and 8.1, the only option is to upgrade to Windows 10. Mar 16, 2023 Alison Harvard A Safer and Easier Way to Enjoy Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 with Inverted Flash Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players can now enjoy a better gaming experience thanks to Beenox's latest patch. The new setting, called Inverted Flash, makes flashbang grenades easier on the eyes by turning the screen completely black instead of completely white when it is activated. This minor but much-requested feature was released as part of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare2's Season Reloaded on March 15th.
Beenox, an Activision subsidiary known for its work on games such as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 remaster, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War alongside Infinity Ward’s new Call Of Duty Modern Warfare2 from which Call Of Duty Warzone2 spun off unveiled this feature via a short clip posted on Twitter. The video showcases how enabling inverted flash works in the game; in conventional circumstances throwing a flashbang grenade at the feet would make the screen go completely white for a second before fading back in. However, with inverted flash enabled, the screen goes immediately dark, then fades out partially before switching over to a white effect until it eventually wears off entirely. This should protect gamers from becoming blinded because they will remember to turn it on beforehand.
Inverted Flash mode can be enabled in the game’s options menu under “Graphics Settings”, where it appears as a checkbox labeled “Reduce Screen Flashes On Impact”; when enabled, this setting will reduce the intensity and duration of those flashes significantly.
All in all, Beenox has once again managed to impress with yet another impressive update making sure that players are able not only to play safely but also enjoy themselves even further, knowing that developers are doing everything possible so everyone may continue having fun no matter where they stand concerning skill level. The newly found code in the 25314 build points to a more personalized experience for users, and exciting features like grouping modes and label support are set to make a comeback.
The taskbar in Windows 11 has been one of its most controversial aspects since its release. Users have long complained about the lack of control afforded by it compared to previous iterations of Windows OS, so much so that many resorted to using hacks just to get back some functionality. Thankfully, Microsoft seems to be listening and bringing back requested features in an upcoming update.
XenoPanther was one of the first people on Twitter who reported finding strings related to changes coming up for Taskbar in the 25314 build. Among other things, they mentioned potential returns for grouping modes as well as labels being visible again – something which has not been seen since before Windows 10's launch. Leaker PhantomOfEarth also confirmed these findings on Twitter shortly after XenoPanther's post went live, commenting that we might be seeing the "never combine" feature returning soon, too – giving users full control over how their tabs are grouped together on their taskbar(s).
The "never combine" option allows users can turn off Windows OS's automatic merging function which groups tabs from the same programs together when placed horizontally across your taskbar; instead, you'll be able to view all your programs separately without them getting merged into one rectangular box (which is what happens if there isn't enough space). This new feature should please a lot of people who want less clutter but still need access to multiple tasks simultaneously with no hassle!
Overall it looks like Microsoft is responding positively to user feedback regarding Window 11’s interface issues while making sure everyone gets exactly what they want out of their desktop experience! It’s no surprise, then, that the series’ final boss fights are some of the most intense battles in gaming. From Keiji Shibusawa in Yakuza 0 to Takechi Hanpeita in Like A Dragon: Ishin!, each endgame confrontation offers a unique challenge and leaves an indelible mark on players. Here is our ranking of the best final bosses in this franchise.
Keiji Shibusawa
At number one is Keiji Shibusawa from Yakuza 0. As Kiryu's former mentor, his fight with the young yakuza is packed with emotion as he stands between Kiryu and Kazuma's dreams. With his powerful moveset and overwhelming strength, it was certainly a difficult battle but ultimately satisfying when he was overcome by Kiryu's newfound power. His story ties into all of Kiryu's struggles throughout the game, making him an unforgettable adversary for fans of this iconic franchise.
Akira Nishikiyama
Number two is Akira Nishikiyama from both Yakuza and its remake Kiwami. This fan-favorite character has gone through several transformations over time - first as a close confidant to Kazuma before becoming one of his most violent adversaries at their eventual showdown in Kamurocho Park during Kiwami 2’s climax sequence. Despite being weakened due to illness during his battle with Kazuma, Nishikiyama still manages to put up quite a fight using his martial arts skills which make him a dangerous foe even after taking damage throughout their epic duel.
Ryuji Goda
Rounding out our top three is Ryuji Goda from Yakuza 2/Yakuza Kiwami 2, who puts up an impressive performance against Kazuma at Sotenbori Riverbank on New Year’s Eve 2008 before finally succumbing to defeat after an intense struggle against “the dragon of Dojima” himself! Goda commands respect not only for his intimidating presence and formidable skill set but also because he was able to reach such heights despite having spent much of his life living on the streets since childhood – making him a truly inspirational figure among many gamers who have followed his journey over time!
Seishiro Munakata
Fourth place goes to Seishiro Munakata from Yakuza 4, whose mysterious past unravels over time as you progress through each chapter within this title; eventually culminating in what can only be described as one heck of an emotional face-off between father & son near Tokyo Tower! Not only does this finale prove how far players have come since starting out with just four playable characters – but it also serves as a testament to how complex storylines can be handled effectively within video games these days – making it another memorable moment from this beloved franchise indeed!

Mar 03, 2023 Benjamin Carter Gears of War 6: The Coalition Is Hiring for Upcoming Title The Gears of War franchise is one of Microsoft’s most beloved franchises, having been around since 2006. The last release was Gears Tactics in 2020, with the last mainline title being Gears 5 in 2019. Now, it looks like The Coalition, the developers behind the franchise, is hinting at a new project.
Rumors have been circulating since February 2021 that The Coalition has canceled two projects to focus on what is assumed to be Gears of War 6. Now, new job listings from The Coalition and Microsoft’s career page indicate that the team is looking for a Senior Gameplay Designer for a Gears of War game. The job listing asks for experience in Character, Camera, and Controls (3Cs) as well as AI systems.
This isn’t the first job listing from The Coalition for a Gears of War game, either. They were looking for a Gameplay Designer in July 2022. All of this points to the fact that the team is indeed working on a brand new Gears of War title. But what form will it take?
Some have speculated that the team is working on a Gears of War Remastered Collection, which would be an interesting take on some of the franchise’s earliest entries. Others are hoping that it’s a brand new Gear of War title, a true sequel to Gear 5. It’s still too early to tell, but all signs point to the fact that Gears of War 6 is indeed in the works.
At the end of the day, what fans really want is something new. Whether it’s a full-fledged sequel or a remastered classic, we can’t be sure until The Coalition officially reveals the game. But with the amount of evidence being put forward, it’s safe to say that it won’t be too long before we get more information on this hotly anticipated title.
