Exciting updates are on the horizon for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket as a new trading feature is set to be introduced this month. Since its launch on mobile platforms late last year, the game has not permitted genuine trading between players. However, the development team is now preparing to change that with an upcoming update.

This new trading capability will allow players to exchange cards with their friends; however, it is accompanied by some restrictions. Players will only be able to swap cards that share the same rarity level, specifically ♢1 to ♢4 and ☆1. This signifies that participants will not have the ability to bypass the system to acquire more valuable cards from their friends. Additionally, the initial trading options will be limited to cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island booster packs.

Another significant aspect is the requirement to spend in-game items to facilitate trades. This decision has sparked some criticism within the community, with concerns that the game, which already relies heavily on microtransactions, may intensify this trend. Some players have expressed their frustration on social media, suggesting that a more fitting name for the game might be the "Pokémon Limited Trading Card Game." They argue that options should exist for trading rarer cards instead of solely focusing on the more common types.

To address the community's concerns, the PTCGP team has acknowledged the feedback. They have invited players to engage with the new feature when it is released and to share their thoughts, emphasizing a commitment to improving the game based on player experiences.

While the precise launch date for this new trading feature has yet to be revealed, it is confirmed to be coming within the next two weeks. Players can look forward to an enhanced trading experience soon.
